In 2023, Cyndi Feinman created the Westchester Artists Guild in collaboration with Manhattanville College. Students from around Westchester have the opportunity to showcase work from plays without music for a chance to win scholarships and acceptances to college. This program is free for schools to participate in order to create equitable access to theatre for all students. Cyndi also created the ACDA Summer Honors Chorus for High School students in 2019. After chairing the Middle School Honors Chorus for three years and chairing the Nassau County Division 5 All-County Chorus, she had the skills and knowledge to create this additional opportunity for high school students across New York State.
Cyndi lives with her husband, son, and very adorable puppy where family time is very important. Her love of theatre has spread to the entire family and music making at home is common. Cyndi enjoys nature and gardening as well as traveling. She also loves a good day of museums and shows and tries to go to all of her student's performances around the country. She is inspired by those who never give up and knows that there is always more to learn. The following life lessons guide her:
The world is wide enough for you and everyone else
Those willing to do the work, get the furthest
Just because something is hard, doesn't mean you can't do it
Be kind, because we're all in this world together
If you find yourself at a dead end, there's something behind it.
